Brainstorming has been around for almost 70 years.
It has many positives.
Students, managers and emerging leaders always talk about these features in my workshops:
– Social
– Fun
– Allocate time to think creatively
– Build on the ideas of others
– Learn from one another.
However there are some negatives:
– It is slow
– Takes time to run and organise (could be weeks to book in everyone’s busy diary)
– Often requires a large group
– Usually involves a special room which may or may not be available
– Not everyone contributes evenly
The problem is this — in a fast-moving world where customers and clients want their problems solved quickly or they need new ideas in a hurry the traditional brainstorming approach just doesn’t work.
Traditional brainstorming was designed in a different era — when information, ideas, knowledge and competitors moved slowly.
But in a turbo-driven, environment we need a new tool:
– One that can be used by individuals and small groups.
– And one that can generate new ideas & solutions in minutes.
– And one that can be used face-to-face or in a digital format.
Enter Ideas Blitz.
It’s a mini brainstorming tool developed by Dr Ken Hudson based on his Speed Thinking concept.
Much like a 3 wood is a mini driver (for those golfers out there).
Ideas Blitz can be used every day to help you and your team to generate new ideas or solve problems — when you need them.
Ideas Blitz complements the more traditional brainstorming approach.
