The Ideas Blitz tool contains 3 key elements.
– a starting phase where you try and generate 9 ideas in 2 minutes
– a 5 step process (i.e. start, enhance, connect, evaluate and action)
– and a visual template (seen here)

There are 9 inner circles to mirror the 9 ideas in 2 minutes start.
The 9 starting ideas are completed by an individual even if they are working in a group.
And 9 outer bubbles where 2 people try and enhance each other’s ideas.
As you can see here the connect step encourages people to visually group like-minded ideas.
This is an example of an Ideas Blitz from China working with the J&J team.
The visual template makes it easier to see connections between ideas and perhaps uses a different part of the brain.
There are also no numbers so each idea is as valuable as the next.
